Like many “baby boomers”, this gorgeous couple had sold up their family home and purchased an apartment. What sets this apartment apart from many others was its undeniably amazing position smack bang on the Brisbane river!
Many of the big ticket items such as their sofa’s, dining setting and bedroom furniture they were wanting to reuse as the pieces were not very old and in good condition. However, some of these pieces in their current state appeared out of place in a a modern apartment. The client’s brief was that she wanted colour and pattern to add more life to the apartment.
We developed a concept that was colourful and elegant using an array of patterns and textiles. Non-traditional patterns and combinations of pattern add new life to antique and antique style pieces. An eclectic amalgamation of contemporary and traditional furnishings also add interest to the rooms, and work together to achieve an overall harmonious design aesthetic.
